POSITION SUMMARY Under general direction, the incumbent will install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, peripherals, and protocols. Investigates hardware problems and performs system hardware and communication connection repairs. Assists in the installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware, peripherals, and protocols. #Performs diagnostic testing. Responds to inquiries and requests for assistance within the organization#s computer systems. Identifies problems, troubleshoots and provides advice to assist users, coordinates with other IT areas to resolve problems as necessary. #Ensure technology resources are operational and available for use by supported organizational programs and departments. #Some project management as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES Requires Associates/two-year degree in IT or related field or three years of experience in computer operations, basic networking and telecommunication support, or providing technical computer support to users. Must possess excellent communication skills. Certifications in A , Network , and/or MCSE are desirable but not required. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. Bilingual in Spanish/English desired but not required.
